Local Lifestyle

Keystone is a beautiful resort community, and the lifestyle here encompasses the best of your favorite ski vacation. The River Run Village teems with activity, with great shops and restaurants for when you’re done with the mountain. In the winter, skiing and snowboarding are complemented by other snow sports like snowshoeing and ice skating. In the summer, residents can enjoy beautiful hiking trails that wind through the mountains.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Keystone has amazing options for shopping and dining, all at the Keystone Resort. Keystone Ranch is an elegant restaurant featuring fine American dining with a prix-fixe menu. Keystone Ranch combines the charm of old-world Colorado with luxurious fine dining in its beautiful log-cabin decor.

Once an 1800s stagecoach stop, the historic Ski Tip Lodge is now a cozy bed and breakfast featuring one of the most critically acclaimed restaurants in the area. Featuring fine dining with a prix-fixe menu, the restaurant celebrates the best of local Colorado ingredients.

To start the day, Steep Brewing and Coffee Company serves coffee, tea, pastries, and other snacks, in a rustic, relaxed environment. Nearby to Keystone in Summit Cove, The Bottle Shop is one of the best wine shops in the area. They carry an excellent selection of wines for your collection and great service to match.

Things to Do

At Keystone, many of the best things to do take place at Keystone Resort. The resort is known for its critically acclaimed terrain park and varied slopes for skiing and snowboarding. The resort also offers night skiing and riding and a variety of off-mountain activities, such as ice skating and scenic gondola rides.  Another great option for winter sports near Keystone is the Arapahoe Basin Ski Resort (A-Basin). This resort offers high-alpine terrain, as well as rentals and lessons.

In the summer, the resort comes alive with festivals, including live music, wine and beer tastings, celebrations, and plenty of art and culture. For example, the Bacon & Bourbon Festival occurs every summer at Keystone, celebrating the best locally sourced bacon and bourbon with live music and community. Other notable festivals include Wine & Jazz and Bluegrass & Beer.

Summer is fun for the whole family with Keystone Science School, a children’s summer camp that offers outdoor education, field trips, and plenty of STEM activities for students of all ages.

Golf is a favorite pastime in Colorado, and several options are near Keystone. The River Course at Keystone is a beautiful public course that offers beautiful views of the Colorado mountains.  Keystone Ranch Golf Course wraps around the Reynolds Reservoir and through sage meadows with beautiful views. The historic site used to be ranching land that housed multiple homesteads in the 1900s.
